KACo accepting filings for the offices of First and Second Vice Presidents
KACo is accepting Letters of Intention from candidates seeking the offices of First and Second VIce Presidents for the upcoming term starting in November.
Due to a magistrate's departure from the Executive Committee, the Second Vice President position must be held by a member of the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association. The office of First Vice President was vacated by former Grant County Clerk Tabatha Clemons and is now open to one of the remaining Affiliate Members of the Association, excluding members of the Kentucky County Judge/Executive Association and the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association. Candidates must be county members who have paid their membership dues for the current fiscal year.
No more than one member of the Executive Committee shall be from the same county. During the upcoming term, the returning members of the Executive Committee will be from Harlan, Oldham and Union counties.
Letters of Intention must be received by Oct. 13, 2025. No candidate shall file a letter of intention for more than one office. Download the form below. The election will be held on Nov. 13, 2025, during the annual business meeting at the 2025 KACo Conference and Exposition.
The newly-elected First and Second Vice Presidents will take office immediately upon conclusion of the 2025 KACo Conference and Exposition, held Nov. 12-14, 2025 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.
