Eric Gibson

In April of 2024, Mr. Eric Gibson was appointed by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear as the Director of Kentucky Emergency Management. In this role, Director Gibson is responsible for the preparation of, response to, recovery from, and mitigation of disaster events in Kentucky.  Director Gibson has held various distinguished positions during his 30 years of service to the Commonwealth. He began his career as a trooper with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) and served in several positions before retiring in 2017.  Director Gibson is a 1995 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.
