Carol Schureck Petitt

Carol is the epitome of an intelligent and hard-working attorney. She is dedicated to her clients and possesses nearly thirty years of civil litigation experience. She is a native of Oldham County, Kentucky where she attended and graduated from Oldham County High School. Carol then graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky before obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Carol is a past member of the Board of the Directors of the National Kidney Foundation. She is the current Chairperson of the Louisville Bar Association ADR/Mediation Section and a member of the Volunteers of America, Positive Change Society.

Carol is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She has litigated a wide variety of civil cases, having successfully tried numerous cases to a verdict. The list of practice areas in which she is accomplished is extensive - personal injury, premises liability including slip- and trip-and-falls, traumatic brain injuries, toxic torts, wrongful death actions - are all examples of cases that Carol has successfully handled. Carol has also represented local governments, individuals, businesses, employees and employers in administrative and traditional judicial forums involving allegations of sexual harassment, age, gender and/or race discrimination.
