The Kentucky Brownfield Program provides financial and technical assistance to entities seeking to redevelop properties that are known or suspected to be contaminated from past use. These properties, known as brownfields, can include former industrial or commercial sites such as an old factory, abandoned gas station, former dry cleaning business, deteriorated facility, or even a vacant building with lead and asbestos.
