 
						
Brooke Hiltz, JD, is a Research Project Manager at the University of Kentucky, coordinating multiple grant-funded harm reduction and substance use research projects with faculty and community partners. Her work includes managing contracts, budgets, and IRB processes; developing procedures; supporting grant writing; and supervising staff. She previously co-led community engagement for the $87 million NIDA-funded HEALing Communities Study in 16 Kentucky counties, overseeing 20+ staff and 16 community coalitions. Before entering research, Brooke spent 18 years in higher education and served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. Across her career, she has led extensive community engagement with corporate, government, and nonprofit partners.
