Joe Rulison’s multi-faceted career in the financial services sector gives him an expansive viewpoint and breadth of knowledge matched by very few. Since he graduated from St. John Fisher University in 1978, Joe’s professional journey has taken him from being an account executive at Prudential-Bache Securities to his current position as CEO and Co-Founder of three+one, a liquidity analytics and data provider to public entities, higher Ed, and banking institutions throughout the United States. As President and CEO of Rulison & Company, Joe created a product called Muniflow that helped governmental entities invest their funds without jeopardizing their cash liquidity needs. In 2001, Joe sold Muniflow to Bank of America and served there as Market President in the Rochester, NY region while rolling out his product line throughout the bank’s national footprint. From 2009 until the launch of three+one® in 2014, Joe managed JP Morgan’s Private Bank in Upstate New York. In this capacity, he managed the Upstate New York team covering Trusts, Estate, Investment Management, and Custody of assets for high net-worth individuals and non-profit organizations. Joe’s commitment to the community is vast. He is currently a Board Member and Treasurer of the Monroe County Water Authority, a Board Member of Visit Rochester, and a Trustee to the University of Redlands in Redlands, CA. In addition, Joe has served as Chairman of the Board of St. John Fisher College, former Chairman of the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA), as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Geva Theatre, and a member of the Town of Brighton, NY Town Board. In 2006, Joe received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from St. John Fisher College for his work on behalf of the College and the Rochester Community. In 2017, Joe was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from his high school, Christian Brothers Academy, for his commitment to helping others achieve their goal.
