Jon Kovach

Jon Kovach is the Emergency Management Liaison for KACo. In this role, he represents the interests of county governments to Kentucky Emergency Management before, during and after an emergency. This includes providing emergency management-related training to county officials, connecting counties to state and federal resources, expanding county access to support and mutual aid, and helping counties manage post-disaster recovery and mitigation. Prior to KACo, Jon served for 20 years as an Army officer with a background in strategic planning and logistics management, and he was a member of the plans team for the Kentucky National Guard Directorate of Military Support, which is responsible for managing the National Guard response during emergencies.
