Dustin Heiser

Dustin Heiser is the Assistant Director of Operations for Kentucky Emergency Management, where he oversees the State Emergency Operations Center and coordinates the state response during incidents.  Amongst his non-emergency duties, he manages the training and exercise division which provides critical knowledge to local Emergency Management personnel.  Prior to assuming responsibilities at the State level, he was the Emergency Management Director in Madison County for four years.  He has over 20 years of experience in the field of Emergency Management and the Public Safety sector, including over eight years as an active Firefighter and many additional emergency management positions.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Fire Services Administration and a Master’s degree in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, both from Eastern Kentucky University, and he also serves as the Vice President of the Kentucky Emergency Management Association.
